Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Supervisory experience and practical knowledge in both school age child care and summer day camp.

Experience working within budgets guidelines and state /county licensing procedures.

Good communication/interpersonal skills able to work closely with teammates.

Strong leadership, business oriented, self motivated individual with ability to open, manage and expand multiple school age child care and day camp off-sites.

Bi-lingual and comprehensive knowledge of our core values and the 40 Developmental Assets is a plus.

Candidate must be flexible and be able to work Monday - Friday evenings, and Saturday and Sundays.

Duties include answering phones, processing membership applications and payments, registering members and non-members for classes, and monitoring member check-ins. Also includes filing in the back office/keeping schedules and folders updated.

Additional duties as needed, which will be determined by the Membership Director.

Counselors for before and/or after school programs. Programs held at schools in the following districts: Florida, Goshen, Middletown, Washingtonville, Monroe Woodbury and Port Jervis.

Counselors must have:
Experience working with children
Must be at least 18 years of age
Job entails supervising children in a registered program and the following:
Help set up snack.
Work with children on homework.
Organize and run game and other activities.
Supervise outside activities.
Interest in Arts and Crafts a plus.
Interest in "gym" activities a plus.

Site Directors must have:
Minimum of 18 credits in Early Childhood or
related field
Supervisory experience
Experience working with children

Job entails supervising staff and children in a registered program and the following:
*Oversee day-to-day operations of the program.
*Provide an age appropriate curriculum.
*Organize and run game and other activities.
*Set up daily schedule.
*Interest in “gym” activities a plus.
*Interest in Arts and Crafts a plus.
*Have program comply with the New York State
Regulations.
*Be liaison between parents and the YMCA
*Be liaison between the school and the YMCA

Fitness Trainers/Wellness Coaches - Certifed preferred-prior experience necessary...CPR/AED required. Must be willibg to work with beginners/deconditioned population - Part time 10-15 hours per week.

Preferred candidates will have a degree in Physical Education and/or a Personal Training Certification; and have appropriate current AED/CPR certification. We will consider a candidate with a fitness background with current AED/CPR certification. All candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic and willing to cover other shifts when needed. Weekends are required!!

Along with leagues, we will need volunteer basketball referees, soccer officials, umpires etc.
