Current YMCA Members may receive up to three Guest Passes to share with family and friends. Day Passes may be available for purchase, at the discretion of each Y branch. Please call your local branch for more details. A valid Photo ID is required to purchase a Day Pass. Requests for Day Passes after 4:00pm will be issued at the discretion of each YMCA branch. An adult who purchases three (3) Day Passes may apply those payments to the cost of a full Membership, if the guest becomes a YMCA Member within 30 days after the first pass is issued (receipts required, please). All Guests of the YMCA are expected to follow our Code of Conduct at all times.

Through our “Always Welcome At the Y” program (A.W.A.Y.) visiting Members of other YMCA’s from all over the world are made to feel at home here in Orange and Sullivan counties. Members of other YMCA Associations are entitled to 2 FREE WEEKS per calendar year to enjoy our facilities. Photo ID and verification of Membership by a visitor’s home Y is required. After the free two week period, A.W.A.Y. Visitors will be charged at the normal Guest Pass rate or can register as a Member of one of our YMCA branches. All Guests of the YMCA are expected to follow our Code of Conduct at all times.

In January, 2012 many of the YMCAs of New York State agreed to participate in a membership reciprocity agreement which allows visiting members from other participating YMCA's in New York to use our facilities at no extra cost. The Reciprocal Membership program does not apply to program enrollment.

  • Visiting Members must present a valid YMCA membership card and photo identification upon their first visit to a YMCA.
  • Visitors must fill out a “Visiting Member” waiver or a standard membership application form with liability waiver upon their first visit.
  • YMCAs will NOT charge a guest fee for visiting members.

Click here to view the list of participating Ys in NY state who offer reciprocal memberships to all full time Y Members.  Please note: Members of the YMCA of Middletown and the South Orange Family YMCA must have a Passport Membership to use both branches in our association.

In an effort to serve our paying members fully during the months of January and February, South Orange Family YMCA will limit the use of guest passes to one visit per guest. This is to help alleviate parking shortages and overcrowding in our group exercise classes. Thank you for your understanding through these peak times.
