+/-       M.A.P Financial Assistance Program

Our Membership Assistance Program (‘MAP’) is made possible by the generosity of our YMCA Family – Members, Staff, Board Members, volunteers, local businesses and the local community at large.  Through our annual Strong Kids Campaign we raise critical funds that enable children, adults and families to enjoy the YMCA and its valuable programs and services, regardless of their financial situation.

In 2010 alone, Strong Kids raised over $130,000; with an average Family Membership rate of just over $50 per month, you can imagine how many lives we can positively impact with that kind of success.  We encourage you to contribute to Strong Kids, either through a donation, by lending a hand, or by simply referring someone to us who is willing and able to help make a lasting difference in a neighbor’s life!

How To Apply
To apply for assistance through the M.A.P. program, simply fill out an application – you can print one from the link below.  Please complete the entire application and return it, along with all of the required documentation.  If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, call us at 845.344.9622 and select  Option 4. Remember, we’re here to help!

+/-       Special Discount Programs

Below are special discount programs that we offer to new Members based upon participation in other YMCA programs or affiliation with our local partners:

FAMILY ADVANTAGE
As we’ve said, we’re here to help – especially to help local families.  We want to make it easier for children and their family members to enjoy more opportunities to grow and live fuller, healthier lives.  This is exactly why we developed our Family Advantage program.  Families already paying for one or more children enrolled in a YMCA Child Care program, like  Club Kid and Pre-school receive 50% OFF the Family Passport Membership rate at one of our local branches.  To qualify your child must be enrolled full time for Child Care.  Please call 845.344.9622 and select Option 3 for details.  The Family Advantage program is a great opportunity for working families to spend more quality time together, engaging in healthy, fun activities in a home away from home!

GROUP ADVANTAGE
We also offer discounts on our Membership rates to individuals affiliated with an employer with 10 or more active YMCA Members.  Please contact us to find out if you are part of such a group and we will apply the appropriate Group Advantage discount to your Y Membership.

For more information or to take advantage of these savings, call our New Member Services Department at 845.344.9622 and select Option 3.
Please contact us if you feel your organization would benefit from any of our health and wellness-related presentations that we can tailor to suit your particular needs!

Lockers
All lockers available at the YMCA are for Members’ use only.  Please note that these are Day Lockers; you are required to use your own personal lock and remove it at the end of your visit.  We strongly advise that Members do not bring valuables to the Y, and that all belongings be secured in a locked locker at all times.  The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen property.  Any locks left overnight will be removed and discarded.

If the items are not claimed by Friday of every week, we have no choice but to discard them.  If the item lost is jewelry or has any significant value, it will be held in a secured location for three months.  Please contact Jillian Andrews, Membership Coordinator, at 845.344.9622 x249 for more information, or to inquire about a lost item.

Parking is free to all YMCA Members.  Please visit the specific page on this site for the branch you plan to visit to find parking locations and related information.  Regardless of which Y facility you visit, we thank you for respecting our valued neighbors.

Youth Supervision
The safety and comfort of your child is our first priority.  When your child is enrolled in a YMCA class or program, you can be assured that the instructor is a trained individual with experience working with children.  We require that parents directly pick up and drop off their child at the program and provide adult supervision to and from locker rooms.  No child under the age of 13 should be left unattended.

All class cancellations and building closings due to weather or emergency will be posted on the Home Page of this website.  We will also make every effort to broadcast such notices on the following radio stations whenever possible: WALL (1340 AM), WRRV (92.7 FM) and Thunder 102 [102.1 FM].  Please understand that there might be an unexpected occasion that will require us to cancel or close without advance notice.  Credits will be issued if the YMCA cancels a class.
